The objective of this course is to enable students to work as practitioners of 10 very effective Ayurvedic treatments including 2-hands and 4-hands Abhyanga (oil body massage), Swedana (herbal sweat therapy), Shirodhara (oil pouring head therapy), Shiroabhyanga (head massage), and Bastis for pain management and emotional release (for sacrum, neck, knees, heart and navel). In addition to performing treatments and massages, technicians will be taught the most important principles of Ayurveda. This training will give the tools to recognize and honor basic constitutional types, teach self-care routines and receive an introduction into running a professional Ayurvedic practice.
The strong spiritual aspect of this program empowers intuition, ability to manage your mind and stress and supports a desire to serve the community. Participants will learn Art of Living Part 1 - Sudarshan Kriya, a powerful rythmic breathing technique to ensure strength and optimal energy levels, when adapting to bodywork. A strong sadhana routine (spiritual practices such as yoga, pranayama and meditation) will be incorporated into each day to maintain physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Outcome: By the end of the course students will be competent to perform the 10 treatments and conduct self-massage and Ayurveda introductory sessions.

This program certifies you through our affiliate, the Sri Sri Tattva School of Ayurveda in Bangalore, India. Graduates are encouraged to review local guidelines in their country or province to ensure they practice bodywork therapies in alignment with regional requirements.
